The Stone Church | Newmarket Live Music Venue

The Stone Church was built in 1832 as a Universalist Meeting House on land given to them by the Newmarket Manufacturing Company. By the mid-century it had become a Unitarian Meeting House and it was sold in 1865 to the Roman Catholic Church creating the first Catholic Church in Newmarket. Since the late 1960s, the Stone Church has dedicated itself to the presentation of Live Music. Serving as both a showcase for local musicians and a popular stop by touring artists, the Church quickly became the premier music venue in New Hampshire. Such major acts and musicians as Phish, Bonnie Raitt, Parliament, Patty Larkin, Bela Fleck and Joan Osbourne came through Newmarket. CLICK HERE
